Cable Bay Holiday Park Terms & Conditions
Arrival and Departure: Arrival time from 1pm onwards. Accommodation will be held until 7pm on the date booked unless a full night’s deposit has been received or we have been advised of an arrival time. Departure time is 11am.
Caravans and Campervans: Must have an electrical warrant of fitness and comply with LPG Standard (NZS5428:1996). All campervans and caravans must have their own wastewater container. Due to environmental reasons we do not have a dump station. Chemical toilets must not be emptied here. The nearest public dump station is at NPD Fuel on St Vincent Street, Nelson.
Tents: Electricity can be connected through an approved isolating transformer or RCD safety switch.
Parking: One vehicle to be parked on own site only. Not on driveways. Boat parking available.
Speed: Speed in the park and driveways to be walking pace only.
Conduct: Quietness is between 10.30pm and 7am (with exception of New Year’s 1am). Reasonable behaviour and dress at all times. We will not condone underage drinking of alcohol. Noisy parties, loud music, swearing or drunken behaviour are not tolerated as we are a family camp. We reserve the right to cancel tenancy at any time due to objectionable behaviour. No refund will be given. Consideration must be shown at all times to other guests. Fireworks and generators are not permitted. Braziers by arrangement only (weather dependent).
Kitchen, Bathrooms & BBQ: Please clean up and leave tidy for the next person. Fridges and freezers are available — please name and date your food. No water bottles in the freezers during busy times. Fishing bait to be kept in the outside freezer only. If fridge space is limited, alcohol/boxes of beer to be chilled another way. Ice available from the office. Cold water is safe for drinking. If water is not drinkable, the tap will have signage on it.
Damage: Cost of damage to property or accommodation will be recovered.
Children: Children are the responsibility of parents or caregivers at all times. Noisy or disruptive games/trampoline must stop by 8pm. Trampoline is open from 8am to 9pm (quiet play only). All children and teenagers are to be back at their own campsites by 10pm.
Visitors: Adults only daily charge $10.00 per person. Visitors are the courtesy of the management at all times but are your responsibility and need to depart by 9.30pm. All visitors must report to the office and vehicles are to be left outside or in the visitors’ car park. Any charge not paid by visitors will be the site’s responsibility. Any visitor staying after 9.30pm qualifies as a guest and must be registered and paid for.
Pets: Allowed by prior arrangement only. Dogs must be kept on a lead for the entire time they are around your site and within our grounds. They are not permitted inside the facilities block. Dog parking areas provided. Dogs are not permitted on the farm or the walkway. You can take your dogs on the beach. Excessive barking will not be tolerated, and they must not be left unattended for long periods.
Rubbish: To be placed in the bins provided behind the main facilities building. We appreciate your help sorting/washing recycling. Do not leave broken or damaged camping equipment — please take this home.
Smoking/Vaping: Permitted on your site only. Not permitted inside the buildings or cabins.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
All bookings must be paid in full on arrival for the total number of nights booked. No refund will be given if you choose to depart early due to weather or change of mind. Management reserves the right to alter tariffs without notice.
Minimum 2-night charge applies for any long weekends/public holidays and peak season (23rd December–8th January). Minimum 2-person charge per site applies during peak season and long weekends/public holidays.
A cancellation fee of $20.00 per site will be charged if 24 hours’ notice is not given. Management may ask for a 1-night deposit for group bookings (non-refundable).
Bookings are not transferable to another person or date without prior arrangement.
We ask for your co-operation so that your stay and the stay of others can be enjoyable. If any of these rules or health and safety or fire regulations are breached, you may be asked to leave the park — without refund.
